A big thank you to Lincoln Williams for bringing in a King Cake to share with his class on Fat Tuesday! They are especially grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Williams for making the cake, bringing it in, and providing a wonderful learning experience for the students. The cake was delicious, and they enjoyed researching interesting facts about this tradition, including the meaning behind the purple, gold, and green colors. Thank you for including the class in your family tradition—Lincoln has been sharing this special treat since 2nd grade, and his classmates are so glad to be part of it! AND...Kinley Shaloy is Queen for the day since she found the baby Jesus!

First graders have been learning all about the Big Outdoors in their reading curriculum. Since their main story was "Grand Canyon" this week, they read a fascinating, parallel story about famous rocks. After reading, each student chose a famous rock to research, wrote several facts and followed a guided drawing to illustrate it. 🪨

Second grade celebrated our presidents during the month of February with the “Mystery President.” The students guessed the President while it was being printed on a 3D printer and learned facts about each one. Correct student guesses went into a drawing for the presidential bust. A BIG thank you to Mrs. Hutchison for sharing this with our class!🇺🇸
