5th and 6th grade Honor Band performed today in Fairview. 🎼🎶




Okeene Public School is seeking two energetic highly motivated individuals to fill full-time vacancies for custodial/maintenance positions. The position will require the individual to clean multiple buildings daily along with assisting in mowing and maintaining the yard around the buildings assigned. One of these positions will begin in April and the other on June 1st of this year. It was the "Best Day Ever!" as our 1st and 2nd grade students learned about tools that some students use to help them with developmental disabilities! Thanks to Robin Swaim, Clinical Social Worker III for SoonerStart Early Intervention for bringing the lesson and reading some wonderful new books!

Ace Long and Blayne Jinkens competed at the Small School State Powerlifting Meet in El Reno today. Ace Long finished with a 5th place medal in the 181 weight class. We are proud of these young men for representing the Okeene Whippets very well. Thank you to Coach Allen for helping these boys have a great season!



The baseball tournament games today have been postponed due to high winds. ⚾️💨 Whippets will play Medford on April 8th for Consolation.


Student Council members had a great day at the District Conference! They discussed their "why" and how they can get more students involved.



Applications are now open for FREE STEM Summer Academies across the state! This summer, Oklahoma's rising 8th – 12th-grade students (current 7th – 11th) have the chance to delve into various STEM fields while experiencing life on a college campus. There are both commuter opportunities (students go home every evening) and residential opportunities (students stay overnight on the college campus). Applications opened on March 1st for these dynamic and activity-packed academies. Space is limited, so early applications are encouraged.

We’re coming together to clean up the highways leading in and out of Okeene—north, south, east, and west!

The eSports team and Gifted students are encouraged to attend, but all 7th-12th graders looking for volunteer hours (or just wanting to help out) are welcome!
We also need at least 3 parents to join us! With enough volunteers, we should be done in about an hour.
