Today the animal science class had the opportunity to picture baby pigs. They learned that it takes a lot of patience to be able to get these animals to Cooperate and not get frustrated, they figured out and learned the importance of the correct angle and views, and to make sure the lighting is adequate to hide shadows. These students had the opportunity to vaccinate and ear notch these same pigs when they were born. Attached are some of the shots they captured.

VR Time Travel Adventure
Today, Okeene Junior High students used the VR headsets to step through a portal and journey back in time. With their imaginations now sparked by this adventure, they are ready to write their own creavtie stories!
Mr. Woolley's 6th grade class spent the afternoon in the STEM Lab learning about the design process and teamwork.

Mrs. Krause was chosen as the teacher of the month at the Elementary for the month of August. She teaches 1st grade, is our social media/website coordinator and helps manage Skordle. She was presented a gift certificate to Whippet Bites by Mr. Regier. Mr. Brickman was chosen as the teacher of the month at the high school for the month of August. He teaches 7th Grade Science, Biology, and Chemistry. He also coaches football and baseball. Mr. Brickman was presented a gift certificate to Whippet Bites by Anette Alvis, Heidy Franqui-Santos, and Daniella Torres.

Kindergarten had a busy day Friday! They read an Ag Book in the morning. Then for math they played musical chairs comparing groups with more, less, or equal amounts. They also searched the rooms to draw shapes and numbers.
