We have another basketball update regarding tonight's games. The games for tonight against Covington Douglas have been rescheduled due to illness. The games will be played January 31st at the same times.

The JH basketball games at Aline-Cleo today have been rescheduled for February 6th at 4:00pm!
Mrs. Hursh’s 9th grade students brought learning to life as they explored Ancient Egypt through engaging, hands on presentations. Using a giant map of Africa, students taught their audience by identifying key locations, sharing important facts, explaining why those locations mattered, and connecting their topics to Ancient Egypt’s success and belief systems. Each group was evaluated by a guest judging panel made up of Mr. Hursh, Mr. Feely, and Mrs. Krause. First, second, and third place groups were recognized for their outstanding work with a Tut Treasure Treat and a certificate.

Congratulations to Caden Reames and Alaina Chasteen. They participated in the Red Carpet Honor Band in Ponca City Friday and Saturday!
Both Caden and Alaina represented Okeene well, performing as the Principal (1st Chair) Clarinet of their respective group. It was a weekend of great music, and great experiences. congratulations again to these 2 for their continued hard work, and energy.
Gym Rats will get to show off their skills at halftime of the Lady Whippet vs Waynoka basketball game on Tuesday night! 🏀

Basketball Homecoming is next Tuesday, January 13th against Waynoka! 👔 Dress-up days happening at school Monday & Tuesday! 📣 Pep Assembly at 2:50 on Tuesday in the Old Gym 👑 Coronation at 6:00 PM followed by a Lady Whippet Tip Off at 6:30 PM on Tuesday night.
Redbud Read-Aloud Vote #2-The winner was "Elvis and Romeo" by David Soman and Jacky Davis. “Ducky + Snaps: We Cannot Be Friends” by Ame Dyckman was close behind in the votes. Luis Cahueque and Emory Long were excellent listeners this week and earned the spot to hold our books for the picture.
Our Whippets and Lady Whippets both advance to the winners bracket in our Okeene Invitational Tournament. The girls will play at 7:00pm with the boys following at 8:20pm.
The 2nd 9 Weeks Honor Roll Assembly will be held tomorrow, January 9th, at 8:15am in the auditorium!
